Eligibility: Any current member of USJA, USJI,or USIF - must carry a proof of membership

Kata Competition: Open Divisions (Nage-No kata, Ju-No Kata, and Katame-No Kata

Ni-Waza Competition: We will offer mat competition - weight divisions will be determined depending on the registrations.

Scoring System: Modified Double Elimination or Round Robin for divisions with 5 or less Judokas.
Rules: IJF rules will govern the competition with modification for no shime-waza below 13 years old and no Kansetsu-waza below 18 years old.  IJF rules for below 13 years old for leg grabs will be a Shido for first offense.

REGISTRATION FEES
$40 for 1st division and $15 for 2nd division. 
Competitors are only allowed to enter a maximum of 2 regular divisions - excluding the open division.

Ages 6 and under

11&12 Years old

Weight Divisions
Light, medium, and heavy weight.  Super light and super heavy if necessary

Female: 48 kg, 52 kg, 57 kg, 63 kg, 70 kg, 78 kg, over 78 kg
 
Male: 60 kg, 66 kg,  73 kg,  81 kg,  90 kg,  100 kg,  Over 100 kg

Masters Divisions (30 + years of age) Male & Female, to be determined by the number of competitors.

Special Senior Open Division:
If there is enough interest we will offer a special senior open division for $10 per person. All contestants will be sorted by weight from lightest to heaviest.  The competitors will be placed on a pool sheet and paired with the next competitor for the closest weight.  Competition will continue in single elimination style until an eventual champion is crowned.

MERCHANDISE
2020 Virginia Commonwealth Games merchandise will be available for purchase during events at various locations.

AWARDS
2020 Virginia Commonwealth Games bronze, silver and gold medals will be given in each category/division
