SHOOTING

DEFENSIVE HANDGUN

Locations: Roanoke Rifle and Revolver Club (RRRC) Ranges A & B
 
Entry Fee: $25 for RRRC members; $30 for non-members.
There will be an additional $3 fee for all mail in registrations.

Pre registration Deadline: July 4, 2008. On-site registration will be accepted, however a $5 per event late fee will apply.
   
Awards: Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each event or classification.
   
Divisions: 5 IDPA Categories plus law enforcement and junior.

On-site registration:  10:00AM - 8:30AM.  Shooter's meeting 10:45AM.  Match starts 11:00AM.  A 6 stage event consisting of 60-90 rounds of ammo fired from concealed carry using cover when available.  "Competition Only" handguns and holsters are not permitted.  Law enforcement may use their duty rigs.

Rules:  Current NRA Sporter Air Rifle Position Rules will be used.

Competition Open to:  Any Virginia Resident, or adjacent state resident not conducting state games.  To enter the NRA registered state championship, competitor must be an NRA member or junior member of an NRA affiliated club.

Registration Fee:  $8 for junior members & $8 for a 3-member junior team
$10 for adult shooters & $10 for an adult -3 member adult team $10 additional will be collected for those who desire their scores to be entered in the NRA Registered State Championship.
Everyone must shoot as an individual and the team is a paper match.

Relays:  #1 at 1:00pm, #2 at 3:30pm and if needed #3 at 6:00pm.  If more relays are needed, we will add them to the morning.

Classification:  Each competitor will be categorized according to the Current National 3-Positions Air Rifle Council Rules and must exhibit a current NRA Air Rifle classification card or score record book upon registration. Unclassified competitors will fire in the Master Class.

Course of Fire:  Twenty (20) shots at each of the three (3) positions, in the order:  Prone, Standing and Kneeling.  Unlimited sighters during the 30 minute time limit for 20 record shots.  Two (2) AR 5/10 targets will be hung for each competitor at one time by staff.

Awards:  Coventry Commonwealth Games participants will receive a t-shirt.  Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be presented to the first three places.  Ribbons will be presented to fourth through tenth places.

NRA Sanctioned Match participants will be presented medals for the first three places in the Open Category.  Class awards will consist of medals for the class winners and award pointes to place awards in class and category.

 Awards:  Commonwealth Games participants will receive a t-shirt.  Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be presented to the first three places.  Ribbons will be presented to fourth through tenth places.

 Registration Fee: $8 for junior members & $8 for a 3-member junior team Everyone must shoot as an individual and the team is a paper match
