Eligibility: |
The standard masters age groups will be used. Swimmers
can be current members of United States Masters Swimming (USMS) or
non-masters 19 years of age and up. If you are a masters swimmer, a
photocopy of your 2009 registration must be attached. Age as of
December 31, 2009. |
|
|
|
|
Entry Fee: |
$8.00 for individual events plus a
$4.00 surcharge to
help defray the cost of equipment rental, medals, T-shirts, and mailing
costs. Relays will cost $10.00 for each relay entered. Relays will be deck
entered and deck seeded. Swimmers may enter up to five (5) events.
There will be an additional $5 fee for all mail in registrations.

Meet Format: |
This meet will conform to the 2009 USMS Rulebook and
the Coventry Commonwealth Games of Virginia Rules. Warm-ups from
7:30AM
- 8:30AM. Meet starts at 9:00AM. Blocks available for
starts, but deck starts can be done also. |
|
|
|
|
Warm-up/Warm-down Procedures: |
Swimmers must enter the pool feet
first in a cautious manner. Diving shall be permitted only from the
blocks in the designated sprint lanes during warm-up. There will be
continuous warm-up/down areas. ABSOLUTELY NO DIVING will be
permitted in the warm/down area. Instructions given by the designated
Safety Marshall shall be obeyed at all times. The diving well will be
available for warm-ups and warm-downs throughout the meet. |

Awards: |
Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded to the top
three finishers in each age group of each event. |
|
|
|
|
