Virginia Amateur Sports directs more than 10 wellness events throughout the year including the Subway Commonwealth Games of Virginia, the largest multi-sport festival in the state.

The Subway Commonwealth Games, known as Virginia's Olympics, is an Olympic-style sports festival, and is open to all ages and skill levels. The Games have an economic impact of approximately $4 million dollars to the region.

The majority of the sports will be held Games weekend, July 15-17 in Roanoke. With a few sports being held in Richmond, Waynesboro, Charlottesville and the New River Valley.

Gold, silver and bronze medals are awarded to the winners.

Promoting health, teamwork and good competition, the Games are not only a marketing and advertising tool, but also a way to improve people's lives.
